This is a thread from my dad's facebook account last night about the 1st day of select camp:
Jerin just cut her leg on her skate at the Oregon State select camp. She's on her way to the hospital to get some glue, a stitch, or whatever. Dad's advice: Wear it like a badge sista! Done for the night, hopefully she'll continue the camp tomorrow.
Jim Williams: Praying for a swift recovery.
Ray Dinkins: Moges says" Tell her that her brother hopes she is okay." Juice says, "That's so cool! Tell her to take pictures if it's a big gash!"
Ray Dinkins: Thanks for the kid words, I'll pass them along. I could hear her in the background in the ER..."Tell dad I was doing freakin' awesome..."
Dawn Cramer: love your attitude about it! Hope it doesn't hurt too much and yes she should wear it proudly!!!
Ray Dinkins: glue w/ strips, no stitches, and released for skating tomorrow! Woot! thanks dawn...it's hockey, ya know? better a cut than a concussion. Injuries are part of it, we just never know when. Jerin says she'll be kicking butt again tomorrow!
