Team Alaska U16's win in Connecticut!!!

I'm so proud of my team.  Last night, they beat the Brewster Lady Bulldogs who were 3-0 in the Polar Bear Tournament.  I'm sure it was a great game!  I so wish I was with my team right now, you don't even know.  Next is the regional tournament and I am going to be there to help my team seed 1st from the region to go to Nationals!!!  Go Team AK!

I got my gear back from United yesterday, and they have refunded all of my ticket except the flight to San Francisco.  We are going to petition them for that part too because it was their fault and a complete waste!!!

Team Alaska in Connecticut...

Well, my team is 0-2 at the Polar Bear Tournament in Connecticut. They lost to the New Jersey Quarry Cats and the Rhode Island Express by a score of 2-1 in both games.  I am so proud of what they are doing there and the showing they are making for themselves.  I am also completely devestated that I am not there and the possibilty that I could be just one factor in helping my team overcome the one goal differences.  Go Team Alaska...you can do it!

Also, the additional punch in the face, United still has my hockey gear so I can't even practice with my midget team here in Oregon.  It's so frustrating!

I keep saying, things couldn't get any worse...and then they do.  Hoping for a better day today!

Connecticut: Epic Fail!

Mechanical troubles delayed Jerin's departure from Medford last night. She flew late to San Francisco, missing her connect to Washington, DC. She spent the night in the SF airport, but they couldn't get a flight to the east coast today due to the storm. She has boarded a plane home, with tears, hockey gear and all.

Leaving for Connecticut!

I'm on my way to Connecticut to play in the Polar Bear Female Hockey Tournament with over 190 other girls teams across a number of age levels and tiers.  I can't wait to see the rest of my team.  Tonite, it's Medford to San Francisco to Washinton-Dulles to Hartford.  Planning to enter the Christmas coma and sleep as much as possible.  Check back for scores and highlights.  My dad will post stuff as it happens when he can.  Also...just say no to SNOWMAGEDDON!

Go Team AK!

...added another team today!

Finished the tryout for the Jr. Spartans Midget A U18 team today.  I made the team.  I don't expect a ton of playing time, but I get a chance to travel and play some high level hockey when ever I am given the opportunity.  This is just a nice add on to pick up more playing time this season.  I'm pretty stoked about making the team, because it's like our all area high school all-star team.

I'll be playing a lot of weekends during the month of January and I'll get to spend some time up in Portland.  Haven't been there much this season...  This will also allow me to pick up a tournament over MLK weekend.  I'll be up in Alaska over President's Day Weekend, so I'll miss the Jr. Spartan play tourney that weekend.

I'll post a picture in my jersey whenever we get them.  Should be cool...

GO JR. SPARTANS!

Crater gets a win!

My high school team, the Crater Comets, grabbed our first win for the high school season last night against the North Medford Black Tornadoes. It was a fun game with lots of scoring...

My teammate, Dustin G. got a hat trick. This was only his 2nd high school game. He's a freshman. His brother, Daniel who is a junior, assisted on every one of his goals I think. He ended the night with 1 goal and 4 assists!

I had a gaol on the night that ended up being the GAME WINNER! WOOT!

I also had a pretty physical night, getting hit and even delivering a few hits! Pretty fun...

Today is dedicated to homework, so I'll be in the books all day. Tomorrow is the 2nd half of the Jr. Spartan Midget U18 tryout, so I'll be resting and ready to go for that too!

Great job Crater! Good game North....

The Blog Is Back!

Well, it's a new hockey season and I want to share it with all my friends and family! I didn't keep up the blog last year and I missed sharing it all... The 2010-11 season is well underway and I need to bring you up to speed.

As usual, I am having to get games with multiple teams this year to make a solid season. The biggest news is that I have been accepted as part of the U16 Team Alaska! These girls are so awesome and we get to travel around to some big tournaments. I am trying to go to Alaska like once a month during the season....and so far so good!

My teams this year:
U16 Team Alaska Girls
U19 Team Alaska Girls (for select games and tournaments)
Crater Comets High School Hockey Team (co-ed high school team)

...and this weekend, I am finishing up the 2nd half of a tryout for the Jr. Spartans Midget A U18 Team. I hope to make this team because it's like our all star high school team and I'm the only girl that finished the 1st half of the tryout!

So those are my teams, and you can check out my records and stats to the right. I'll keep you updated! Come back often because I will be working to add some new elements and some new visuals to my blog.
